Just finished watching the new movie **"Dune"**. Since reading this [article](https://elemental.medium.com/psychological-richness-may-be-the-missing-piece-in-your-life-s-puzzle-ac0397d0b79d), I have come to the realization that the mantra repeated much in the movie _**"Fear is the mind killer"**_ has changed in this pandemic. The author of the article linked above mentions "Psychological Richness", it's the varied experiences that fends of boredom, and boredom is the real mind killer. I think that why [drug use](https://news.un.org/en/story/2021/06/1094672) and [smoking](https://www.forbes.com/sites/stephaniesarkis/2021/03/19/smoking-has-increased-during-the-pandemic) has increased during the pandemic. 

It's interesting that the study participants in the article preferred the pain of electric shocks to take their mind off boredom..
