Down this portable software CurrPorts [[http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/cports.html]]\\

It's portable so you can run the .exe by clicking.\\
But first, you need to set it to run in administrator mode.\\
Right-click on the .exe, select **Properties**, click the **Compatibility** tab and tick the option to '''Run this program as an Administrator'''.\\

//CurrPort// will list all software that have connections to the internet.\\
Don't worry about ''Unknown processes'' with ''Time Wait'' or ''System'' processes.\\

//CurrPorts// will highlight currently running processes it thinks are safe in green and those it's suspicious of in pink. You can shut the process down and check to see what it is.\\

To really stop any processes that are not malware, go the usual route.\\
Type ''msconfig'' in the Start window, click the ''Startup'' tab and untick the process you don't want to start-up on Windows boot.
