Installing Ubuntu 12.04 or LXLE 12.04 with Windows dual-boot..\\

First of course, install Windows so you won't have to deal with Windows wiping out grub later..\\
If Windows is already installed, you can shrink the Windows partion within Windows by using using ''Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Storage -> Disk Management -> Shrink Volume''. This is the recommended method.\\
Look [[http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/working-around-windows-vistas-shrink-volume-inadequacy-problems/|here] for other solutions to shrink the partition.\\

If not, do the following.\\

Boot with the Linux disk, you may have to use the F12, F2, Delete or ESC key to get into the BIOS boot menu to select booting from the CD/DVD.\\
In Ubuntu, select "''Try Ubuntu without installing''" from the boot menu, in LXLE it's "''live - boot the Live System''".\\

On the first screen, try to find GParted. It's in the bottom bar menu in LXLE under ''System Tools''\\
